Gastronomic excursion
For those who want to indulge in food without feeling guilty for their silhouette, this itinerary is an ideal excursion to a wide open green highland where there is a production laboratory for one of the six local dairy gems: the ancient-style stracchino cheese from the Orobic Valleys.
Arrival in the morning at Sedrina, the first city of the Brembana Valley Mountain Community: the parish church holds a precious altarpiece painted by Lorenzo Lotto in 1542. Departure for the low difficulty excursion (about one hour) to reach the production area of the ancient-style stracchino cheese from the Orobic Valleys.
This protected Slow Food product is a tasty fatty cheese, an ancestor of Taleggio, made with raw whole milk, just milked from the ‘tired’ cows (in dialect ‘stracch’, from which comes the name) since they came from a summer pasture or a pasture in the plains. After this visit and a regenerating stop to contemplate the fantastic surrounding panorama, lunch in an agriturism farm, for a perfect balance to gratify your body and spirit! A Walk back to Sedrina.
A stay in a double room & buffet breakfast.
